Youtube username/url

Hello, i think its awesome there is something like this out there, anyways,

i have had a youtube acc for years but only recently started making content for it.. i want to change my user name but cannot figure out how to do it, nor change my url? It changed recently how they do it and I have no idea what to do..i changed my google about me stuff but it changed nothing on my youtube. any help would be awesome thank you
 
To change your YT username go to your channel page and click on your name that's on the banner and to change URL I do not know but you need 100 subs at least, 30 days old, a channel banner and icon.

Well i definitely have 30 days, i am uploading an icon and a banner now, but do i really need 100 subs? All my options on my page lead to google info which doesnt change anything on youtube or links saying they changed how you change your url but youtube doesnt say what you have to do to qualify for it -.- but I guess 100 subs would do it, thanks, guess ill work for the subs and see! kind of sucks though that they do that..

Used to be 500, so it comes as a relief to me that it is only 100. Gotta keep pushing, you know?
 
That is true! i dont disagree with the system its just for accounts that are so old, i with they would let you at least have 1 change free since its been years i have had it but not used it for content, but I will definitely keep working, thanks for all the help guys

You don't need 100 subs for a custom url - you can also do it with over 10 followers on Google+ which might be easier to obtain! :D
