YouTube Stories

I’ve been seeing this in my front page on a YouTube from the bigger content creators. I personally never watch stories on other social media sites, but I can see how it would be a benefit for content creators.
 
I hope this counts towards the youtube algorithm. Its hard for me to make edited videos everyday, but I can easily post thibgs on the community tab or make a story. I just hope they work the same as posting videos, so I can get the algorithm pushing me like it does all those people who post videos everyday.
 
Stories just opened up on my phone today! I want to try it to see what happens. ^^ It seems like all the videos you can film have to be really short... :o I'll experiment with it this weekend! :)
 
I'm leery about using this on our main channel...it's not the reason people subscribed. Probably we'll try it on our 3rd (vlogging) channel, but I'm not in any rush.

I have an LG G6. ^_^

I tried out stories today! It makes very awkward, 15-second, yucky-quality videos, but people seem to like it?? No one unsubscribed from it, as far as I can tell. I don't think a notification goes out for a story, but your channel is advertised in the "stories" section. I think it can only be seen from a smartphone (or maybe a tablet?? I don't have a tablet, so I have no idea.... :o ) that uses the YouTube app. I'll ask some questions tomorrow to see if people get notifications. I don't want to get annoying with it. The cellphone videos are't anything great. :o
