Youtube shutting down user subnetworks.

Posting Mad!
Whoa, pretty nuts! I guess they decided that instead of banning the bad apples they will just blanket wipe all of them and make the MCNs deal inhouse and closely.

From a reddit post, Shane here should be able to comment more:

Hi,

It is with great regret that I have to send you this email. It came to our attention last week that YouTube/Google have decided to changes their standing on the overall operations of MCN's.

This is, understandably, a shocking turn of events for all parties involved. It is not just Creative Nation who are affected by this but all MCN's.

In light of this they have decreed that MCN's will no longer be allowed to host external subnetworks and all such subnetworks must be terminated by Friday May 21st, from this point onwards, MCNs will only be able to link & invite channels using internal staff members.

We are aware and appreciate that you put a lot of time and effort into building up your subnetwork and commend you for your hard work, based on this we are going to continue to pay-out your share of the network margin to you for the next 8 months!

It has truly been a pleasure working with you. From Shane, myself and the whole of the team here at Creative Nation we wish you all the best in your future endeavours.

I received the email myself from Creative Nation informing us they were shutting down all subnetworks and I did a video about this on my channel explaining things, but we do need to wait and see what happens because different MCNs are telling different stories. It seems like even THEY don't know. But if this is true this is ****** up. And if it's false and Creative Nation started this whole s**t storm covering their own asses, then that's equally ****** up.

I hope that is just a rumor and not true. And if it is true, then we can't do anything. Sometimes YOUTUBE is too strict.

I can confirm this is in fact a false rumor, all faked for lols or something.
I would post the source but it won't let me I don't think.
Just take a look at "Freedom!"'s video on the topic which explains this is fake and shows evidence, also, YouTube (@YouTubeTeam) confirmed this is a false rumor.

Obviously false about this, someone asked YouTube about this and they said they knew nothing about this. So yeah, if YouTube knows nothing, then how did they all get shut down...

Yeah it turns out it's false (partially). There will be subnetworks getting shut down under some MCNs, but ti's not all subnetworks. Creative Nation's email wording just lead everyone to believe that.
