Youtube Referral Program?

I was thinking that this would be an amazing idea. Is there any way I can have my subscribers sign up to a program that will give them a link that they can send to their friends and if they subscribe it keeps tally of that? Subscribers who claimed enough subscribers would receive a reward or special benefits of your choosing. Is there a such thing?

If your content is good enough, they'll share out your video/channel without being tricked into it. Subscribers are lazy. They don't even watch most of the videos, so what makes you think that they're going to do extra work for you?

But that reward they were promised!!
So basically it's like paying your subscribers to advertise for you lol..

It would have to be very worthwhile for them to feel compelled enough to share out your channel. It's going to cost more than what you're willing to spend. And of course anyone that doesn't win will complain that they were tricked and that no prize was actually given out-or if was awarded to a friend of the channel owner.

And that's ignoring the fact that any kind of program/contest on YouTube that requires liking/subscribing/sharing/anything that would help your video in any way is against ToS. Not that anyone actually follows those rules.

With my new channel the content that I am producing people wont want to share because they will have a better chance of winning. My new channel is about giving away free video games. Subscribers can use the referral program to obtain a free game of their choosing if they work hard enough. Advertising for a channel that gives free games away should be extremely easy.

Even if it didn't work out exactly how the OP envisioned it with a referral link, it would be cool to see a breakdown of who has shared your channel/videos the most and a breakdown of subs that you acquired from it.
