Youtube "Recommended for you" driving me crazy - how do I ...?

OK, so I watch a tutorial video "How to change preferences on adobe premiere.... by Dave".

Next thing I know, I am getting all of these dubious videos in my Recommended For You list saying, "because you watched "How to ... by Dave".
I have no interest in these videos, and they're annoying.

Also, I log into a different YouTube account (I have two), and the same recommendations appear on that browse page too! Its driving me crazy.

I deleted all my yt cookies, removed my browsing history and paused my browsing history in my ty settings. What more do I need to do?

Is it true Google records your IP address and bases recommendations based on that? How annoying is that?

Any helpful suggestions out there for this annoyance?

Google most likely reads your IP then reads your current location in order to suggest videos near you, if that makes any sense.

There's not much you can do.

Its not so much that its suggesting videos "near me" in terms of geography, its suggesting similar videos based on the type of video that "Dave" does.
