Hello, Im new around here and I got some questions.

1) I remember sometime ago when there was no G+ you could just make YT channel and name it whatever. After that you was able to write in your address bar something like “youtube/YourSupaDupaChannelNameHere” and viola – you was at your channel. Now it`s a bit different. I lost my old YT account and decided to make a G+ profile. Now my new account has URL - youtube/channel/UCgXmhcdnFR98mo3Hj0lwM6w It`s impossible to remember and I want to make it simpler. How do I do that?

2) Is it possible to have two separate avatars – one for YT channel and other for G+? Because avatar that I use for G+ looks really cool but only at my G+ page. On YT it looks meh…

To get a custom url go under settings there should be an option to change your URL. Once you make it though it can't be changed so think carefully. And sadly your g+ and YouTube profile picture have to Be the same.[DOUBLEPOST=1414162578,1414162502][/DOUBLEPOST]I would focus on an avatar that looks good on YouTube because who cares about g+
 
I think there might be some minimum requirements before you can request a channel name. I'm not sure though. I do remember that they don't make it easy to find (the page where you go to enter a channel name).
