See thats the thing I am kind of worry about. I am not sure if I would get in trouble easier for copy right things. I try to turn down music in games and what not, but sometimes I forget.
It's not really the music you have to worry about as much as it is the publisher and who owns it e.g. Ubisoft (excluding Watch Dogs & a few titles here and there) own all the distribution rights to any music featured in their games like the Assassin's Creed franchise, despite the game having a soundtrack composed by a 3rd party, you can have Assassin's Creed music on full blast and Ubisoft are fine with it. But this is why I explicitly ask: "
I would like to know if INSERTPUBLISHERNAME would allow me to produce transformative works (Previews, Let's Plays, Reviews etc.) using both visual & audio content from games you own the copyrights to?". The publishers usually inform you if the audio isn't there's or not. You can usually tell which games are likely to have copyrighted music (GTA, Saints Row, Watch Dogs, Sleeping Dogs anything that is likely to have cars and a radio is an instant giveaway), if not some googling may help and even looking into previous (if any) content ID cases for that particular game.
You won't get into trouble easier, you're just at a higher risk of losing an important feature on YouTube which technically you would had to have been using with an MCN unless they somehow bypass AdSense?
You can join the partner program but you can disconnect your adsense from your YouTube account, which is what I did, because that's what you want to be careful of losing, lose your adSense and you've lost it for good. As far as I know (I could still be wrong) as long as your adsense isn't connected to any offending youtube account of any sort then you're fine. You're not at a complete loss or gain whether you join or not for now.
