Hi,

I got an email from someone @google.com asking if I was interested in a one-on-one consultation. Anyone had this? Not sure if it's legit or what... Here's the text.

It's legit. They reach out to channels that reached a certain subscriber threshold and offer some guidance. Most of what they preach is playbook, but it's worthwhile to have another set of eyes on your analytics.

I have friends who have much larger channels than mine who have been offered consultations from youtube. seemed legit. however, I'd be careful just in case!
 
Seems legit I would take the guidance but don't sign anything unless you are comfortable. I have received many messages from random MCNs wanting a partnership but if they came to you just offering guidance I don't see anything wrong with it

Yah, this isn't an MCN, it's youtube itself I believe.

Make sure it's 100% coming from a Google email (in the email details, check for "signed-by: google.com")

It's quite common and it's how you end up receiving email from yourself or friends that isn't really from them. Search for a lifehacker article titled, "How Spammers Spoof Your Email Address"
