YouTube on copyright claim streak?

Random Let's Play Gamer!
Hey guys,

So last night I had like 6 e-mails at once that I have videos that contain copyrighted content. They are all legit claims and different games (Sleeping Dogs, GTA V, Assassin's Creed) and they are all songs. Now on some of them I can remove the songs, but on others I can't even get that option! Is YouTube on some kind of copyright claim streak since all the e-mails were send at the same time? I would just leave them but it sucks! Anyone else noticed something like this lately?

Greetings,

Maurice

Yes, i got few as well but solved them cause they were songs made out of in game cutscene dialogues lol. If you have long videos with actual songs from radios or theme songs then removing them won't be possible via YouTube tool. On short videos that song removal tool works just fine. I think that tool option is available for videos not longer than 90mins.

Assassin's Creed's music should be copyrighted by Ubisoft if I recall correctly, so there shouldn't be any claims there, who did the claim come from on the Assassin's Creed videos? And which Assassin's Creed was it?

As for Sleeping Dogs & GTA V you're practically screwed because the music in those games belongs to big record companies. You should only record those games with music turned completely off.

Well I don't post gaming videos, but I've been slapped with four content matches in a row. It's annoying, because there's almost no hope of successfully disputing the claim. I wish YouTube had a more efficient review system.

Yep, i also got hit as well. Almost all of them uploaded years ago and getting no longer views. So long there aren't touching my most earned video's i leave them alone.

That's why I always turn off music in games and mix my gameplay with royalty free music, just to be safe.

Hmmm I got hit by 3 different content claims.. for the same song in the same video by the same guys. No idea why this was duplicated three times, but whatever. I removed the song. I just find it funny that it took them 2-3 years to get back to me. Like what the hell.

Lately I've been getting copyright claims from Nintendo for Ocarina of Time videos I made years ago. I also got a claim for Silent Night, which happens to be in my most popular video so I can't monetize it. :(
