YouTube limits?

Anybody know the limits of youtube for video file size or amount of videos currently per channel? I visited a few channels that have been up for many years and when I sort the videos looking for an older one they only go back about 2 years. I do not think it is a coincidence for all these old large channels to have the same cutoff and I know they had much older videos. Did they hit some limit I am unaware of?

Not that I know off. I believe a lot of them deleted their old videos once they began to get payed in order to make their channels look better. Might even have been something that YouTube suggested back in the day.

There's no limit. They most likely set the old videos to private or deleted them. It's pretty common for channels to do that as their content gets better.

Our video archive goes back almost five years and there isn't any issue searching for older stuff. As for in upper limit of videos, I'm not aware there are any. There are a few channels with over 100k uploads.

Most large channels make their older content private so that they don't show their growing pains. It helps give consistent branding and most MCNs suggest it to their bigger partners
