Last weekend YouTube announced that ALL Active members will be able to post and create custom thumbnails as well as many other options. For when this will take place I am not sure. If you liked this info please take a second and go check out my channel, maybe even a subscribe : ) ?
Custom YouTube Thumbnails: Youtube is going to allow all users with monetization enabled and with accounts in good standing to upload custom thumbnails for their videos. This is something that people have wanted since the begining of YouTube. It will be interesting to see how they're going to police this.
Bulk Annotations - We're not completely sure how this will manifest but we believe that you'll be able to set default annotations on videos so as to not have to manually add annotations that you would normally add to multiple videos. Again, not totally sure but we're certainly hoping that's the case.
Playlists - This is already live but you can now create playlists that include various videos with specific start and end times for each video. It will be interesting how this might be used to create mashup playlists.
YouTube's Gold Play Button & other rewards. - Apparently, YouTube is going to begin to create rewards for creators, including a gold plated play button that will be awarded to creators with more than 1million subscribers
Changing Channel Display Name - This is something that was announced publicly and we covered last Friday - It's only available to regular users because it's tied to Google+ user profiles.
