YouTube Friends?

Hehe I thought this was just me! I got these messages a couple times recently. On the second one I thought I would call their bluff so I said "sure!" and... nothing happened! :)

The cynic in me thinks maybe this is some sort of legal contract somewhere on the planet, such that, if my channel becomes known, that this person will come out of the woodwork then and say, well you said we are youtube friends, and that means I get a share of your revenue, for doing not very much at all...

Oh wait, that's an MCN, isn't it? ;)

The youtube app now has contacts (button located between the subscriptions and account on android app).

So you add contacts. Then send DM's and share youtube links etc from within the youtube app.

How neat, YouTube used to have this function before until they discontinued it in 2014, cool to see that it's back
