YouTube 'Fan Funding' option, should I?

I was browsing through my channel's settings and eligibility and noticed I am eligible for 'Fan Funding' basically it adds a 'Support this channel' box with a button for fans, viewers or subs to place donations and also to support creation of future videos.

I've seen this feature enabled on some sites, normally I see people skimming and adding a PayPal button to their banner but it is very unappealing (to me at least).

What I'm curious is, should I enable fan funding? what is the impact of it, I'm curious what others think.

My videos are more geared towards the young professional, business owners, students and folks who are interested in learning technology and improve/learn/acquire new skills in how to use applications and a PC in general. I'm not sure how this demographic will respond to seeing a 'Support this page' banner; I'm afraid it may turn them off. It could possibly do the opposite, where people appreciate the content and decide to donate for it or for new content. After 4 million views I'm now seriously considering it, but the question is.. Should I?

your opinion matters,
Thanks!

It won't hurt to turn it on, and considering the decent size of your channel and the content you put out, you could probably get some donations, so why not? I don't think having it on will turn anyone off from your channel!

Yeah, considering its totally optional for people to do or not, it won't hurt to turn it on! :)

Considering the size of your channel and the content, you make tutorials so it could be a way for people to say "thank you" if they should choose to. Do it if you feel comfortable with it ultimately.

I'd say do it. It definitely wouldn't hurt to, no matter what the status of your channel is. It's a clean way to get donations without design complications and without spamming. It gives them the option to donate (if they wish) and watch your content all in one place.

Yeah I'd say go for it, who knows it could be a good way to interact with your fanbase, if they leave a donation, you can shout them out or say thanks and ask them what they would like to see on your channel. Could be a good tool to get them more engaged and maybe give you an idea or 2 in the long run :D

Trial it. Turn it on for a couple of months and see if any donations come in. If not, turn it off. Personally I find donate buttons a bit cheap on any platform, but if you're comfortable with it give it a try to see if it's worth doing.
