YouTube Decreased Views

Hi,

Have you guys noticed your channel having decreased views since August 25th? Not sure if YouTube has some reporting problem.

Nope, I still got my regular views. You might be having an off-month. It happens to all of us, so I wouldn't worry about it until it persists. Then you'll have to see where people are dropping off.
 
I'm thinking that there might have been an update to the search results and/or videos that appear in the suggested vids list. Not a change in the algorithm as such, but an update of what videos get promoted by that algorithm if you see what I mean.

I say that because myself and @babyteeth4 are both seeing the opposite - approximately a sudden 35% increase in daily views from the exact same date onwards. I've had a look at other channels' stats on Socilablade and a lot of channels are seeing either a significant increase or decrease in views from that date. Just a theory, but it seems to happen every 6-8 weeks or so in my experience.

Yes they do this periodically. It is a kind reshuffling and it is necessary to find the optimal configuration of linked videos/channels. The slightly more technical term is - avoiding local optimum. :)

BTW - good traffic numbers - soon you will surpass us! Now we must figure up how to catch up with your crazy subscription rate! :D

Yeah, have noticed it as well. I guess it is necesssary as above people mentioned to keep those videos spinning and not being stuck in one place :)
