Youtube Channel Trailers...?

I've Got It
Just after some opinions due to the fact that I'd like to get a channel trailer sorted and uploaded in the next day or so... what are people's opinions on a trailer with the youtuber talking to the camera face to face so to speak and a purely animated video which just tells you what's gonna be in the channel?

Does one work better in particular? Or is a mixture best? I'm kinda leaning towards the speaking to the camera as a way to be a bit more original, but I can't deny that some of the graphical trailers I've seen are incredibly sleek, eye-catching and cool... so I'm a bit torn!

Would love some opinions on this! :)

I'm not of the mindset that a unique channel trailer is a necessity. Most of the time people will find themselves at your channel by means of a video that they either stumbled upon or were linked to, so they will already have an idea of what you are about. But if I was to make one, I'd go with exciting highlights from previous videos. Make it into a fun, fast paced montage that makes people excited to see where the shots came from.

i just removed my channel trailer, i personally find them annoying and so i do not want to do to other what i do not want be done to me :)

As I am a purely gaming channel, I feel having the animiated one works better, although there is some degree of voice over in so far as my game commentary

I just use a recent video with at least 100 views.

It makes it look like I'm active and I don't really suggest making an exclusive channel trailer.

I prefer them short and to the point and preferably displaying whatever the channel is about so I know exactly what I am subscribing to.
