YouTube Channel For My Pet?

AlienRock

Liking YTtalk
Hi! I have a channel called Alien Rock and I make short films. However, I just recently got a toy poodle (real dog) and I just had the idea of making a channel for my dog and uploading like 10 second videos of the dog per day. Kinda like a daily vlog but for a dog. I know this is incredibly nerdy and some people might even call it stupid but do you guys think it'll work and should I should do it?

Go for it. Cute pet videos are extremely popular on youtube. I thought about doing that for years. Getting the cutest puppy I could find for maximum youtube profit. xD

However, I would not recommend 10 second videos. Super short videos = low watch time, unmonetizable, bad search results, no views, no growth. Better to make them longer even if it means you can't post one everyday.

It's not the sort of thing I'm into, but some people get really obsessed with watching dog videos. lol

I'd say go for it if it's what you want to do! Like @Qazplm said, keep up on all the major social media websites for optimal fan-building.

I say do it! also maybe you can make short funny skits like tobuscus does.
Awesome. That's a waay better idea than 10 sec. vids.

I thought of that too. Thanks for the advice!
Been watching "Dog with a Vlog", have you?:D
Haha! Not really. I don't like that show.
You also gotta make a Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Myspace, Vine, and Instagram for your dog as well or else it won't work.
Thanks for the advice! Vine. Yeah that's a good idea.
That is a great idea.
It definitely will work. ;)
Just see some sample in YouTube. :)
Thanks, man! I see you make pet videos too. Haha

Alright. After seeing all the great replies, I've decided that instead of making daily 10 second dog videos, I'll just make "dog skits" like Tobuscus does. Thanks for the replies guys! But If anyone has more advice, keep 'em coming! :)
