youtube and skype?

Posting Mad!
I seem to frequently come across threads saying "trying to find someone serious in growing there channel, would like to skype chat and make a video on call of duty, battlefield, etc...)

How exactly do people go about doing this? I mean like how pewdiepie does some of his videos with smosh or something where he has smosh in the right corner and his webcam in the left along with both gameplays. do they just sync up there video and game content and then send the other youtuber the game content and video separately?

Well, there's a lot of ways it can be done. I've seen pewdie videos where it seems like all content was on his end when he played with others. There's nothing wrong with that, although you lack the other players' perspective and possibly have reduced audio quality depending on the voice service you use. But obviously if you want to get the other player's perspective you're going to need to exchange video files and what not.

It also depends on whether each youtuber wants to post the same content on their respective channels or if they are taking turns where the first video is posted on one channel and the second video installment is posted on the other channel.

The magic of editing :)

I don't watch either of them. But either they are just chatting over Skype with their own cams showing themselves or they are having a video call. You record two separate recordings. One with the webcam and one game play and you just edit it together.

True True, i agree completely. i'd like to do some sort of split screen play like that though where we exchange audio and video files!

It's separate. I do although think there is a program that records both at the same time as well. It may be hard to edit but MUCH better than having to deal with your computer microphone.
