Your Video Will Be Taken Down From YouTube on Jul 25, 2016

Horror Versions
I have 2 videos that got claims that I disputed and then appealed. They have been set to "takedown pending" and it says I could cancel my appeal by the 25th, which was 4 days ago now. So far, the videos are still up with the "takedown pending" status and nothing has happened. I'm wondering if it takes them a while to take down videos. I know they said recently that they were creating a team dedicated to verifying the legitimacy of DMCA takedown requests, so maybe that is the delay.

Does anyone have any news on this? I haven't been able to find anything.

Actual Youtube employees? Real life human beings? I wonder what they're doing...

Update on this thread. The videos are still in "takedown pending" status. They were supposed to be taken down 10 days ago. I wouldn't normally complain that my videos aren't being taken down, but they're currently not making me any money even though they are getting lots of views. I've posted about it on Google's YouTube help forum and so far it is just getting ignored like all mine do.

Maybe you can write copyright@youtube .com and provide as many details as possible. It's quite possible that something bugged on YouTube's end.
Thanks. I probably should've sent them something sooner, but I didn't want to bother them in case there was a known issue. I just sent them the following:

Hello,

This may seem an odd complaint, but I have 2 videos with claims by B_Viacom that I appealed and they were put in “takedown pending” state, waiting for me to cancel the appeals. For these particular videos I wanted to let them be taken down so I could submit a counter-notification for them and ultimately get the claims taken off. The message says they would be taken down on July 25th if I didn’t cancel, but they are still up, almost 10 days later. I don’t mind the videos staying online, but since they still have the claims on them, they aren’t making me any money.

I understand and realize that there have been a lot of changes to channel statuses lately and the automated process probably had a hiccup somewhere. Could the videos either be taken down (preferably on one takedown notification so I only receive one strike) so I can submit a counter-notification, or have the claims removed? The links are below:

(links to both videos)

Thanks in advance for your time and attention. :)

I'll post in here what they reply with.

hi
i have the same problime like you.
i send email to copyright@youtube .com . but i get stupid answord :

Hello,

Thank you for your message.

A content owner claimed content in your video using YouTube’s Content ID system.

Specifics of the policy applied to your video are in the copyright notices section of your YouTube account. There, you may click the underlined link to the right of the video's Edit menu to learn more about the claim.

If you believe that this claim was made in error, you can dispute it directly from that page. If you dispute the claim, the claimant will have 30 days to review your dispute.

Please note that some Content ID claims can affect your account standing, causing you to lose access to certain YouTube features.

Please note that YouTube does not mediate copyright disputes.

Regards,

The YouTube Legal Support Team

Well, yesterday they finally took the videos down. I never got a reply from YouTube's copyright team, but maybe they initiated the takedown. They did both go down on the same one, giving me only one strike, so I'm thankful for that.
