My record month was April 2018 where I had ~575,000 views and ~1400 subscribers. Unfortunately I knew it would go down even as it was happening, because it had to do with a large game update where I just had exactly the right content at just the moment people wanted to see it. After the update hype went down I've started to enter a dip.
As far as 2016 goes, it was one of my worse years statistically but I was finishing college that year and didn't make content for the first half of that year so I had to start from scratch after that. I did spike at the end of 2016 but it mostly didn't stick, so my bubble burst early 2017 and I almost transitioned to a completely different niche that spring but I started to figure things out and was able to turn it around that fall by posting frequently and increasing the quality of my video topics.
