Yes, I'm sorry to have to be that guy.

But I'm in the market for a new camera! I'd really like to achieve that 'perfect' look in terms of image quality (technical terms...)- like most of the big vloggers. The one I have right now is a little bit grainy and doesn't do too well with light. And it was cheap.

Other features (wifi, internal memory etc.) aren't really of much concern; I'm mostly looking for image quality.
My budget is around $500 AU (so about...$473 USD...wasn't that helpful?).

One I've been hovering around is the Panasonic Hc-V520, but I know it's just one of many.

The t3i I'd be willing to stretch the budget for...
Except my tiny reptilian brain recoils at the fact that it looks more like a still image camera than a traditional video camera. Can anyone assure me otherwise?

I can assure you otherwise.

You would want something for the audi though, onboard mic is very bad. It does the job but..not well. Maybe consider getting a shotgun mic for it too ^ ^

Yea it is well worth the money, s'why I said the t4i is not worth the extra money for essentially the same quality ^^

I also thought about a Panasonic camera, the Panasonic HC-V500.I think I will order one soon. I think those cameras are good.

Sounds good- but can you see yourself while filming with those cameras?
