WTF is CREATIVE COMMONS

Same goes for you. There's no need for WTF.

I type formally. I apologize for that. I write a few too many business emails in regards to music licensing and such for my motion work, I'm used to making everything sound as if it was a business presentation. Force of habit.
understandable, i did the same while i was in school. everything formal, Just a question, but if i did it more like RWJ now.. more me less video.. would it go away?or do i really need laywers?:/

The thing about RWJ is that his "Lawyers" have the ability to use his now deep pockets to pay people for a license to use the video and get even richer, some times people even volunteer because publicity involved with appearing on his channel is not small and people will give him clips for free to be featured. For you there is a problem, im not saying what you are doing wont work, keep trying, but what i am saying is that if you are truly after using someones videos and successfully monetizing such videos you have a hard road ahead of you. Fair use is very broadly defined and because of this no one really knows where to draw the line, is two seconds ok to use? Well if the clip is 5 min i would think so, but what happends if the clip is only 4 seconds long. These type of questions are unanswered and if someone puts their video as Creative Commons and you upload and somehow monetize it, if they catch you they might have legal grounds to sue you since now it is technically being used for commercial purpose even if it is review. Best suggestion for you is to message the creator of the video asking him if you can use it in your video in exchange for a shutout.

Are you sure that you are not setting the video sharing to allow Creative Commons?, take a screen shot of how it looks in the monetization as well as a screen shot the Defaults Tab under Channel Settings, i think you have enabled your own videos to be shared as Creative Commons, which video are you referencing, paste the Watch=?asldk345234 link to the video

Nope, my feelings aren't hurt. I was just pointing out that you were telling somebody to "talk a bit more happy" yet you're all "WTF".
