Worth doing tutorial videos?

I was thinking of doing tutorial videos for games/anything in general but was wondering, is it worth it in a sense that people would actually want to watch it? Would you want to watch my latest video if you were scrolling through youtube?

Whatever you bring to YouTube is going to be unique as it's your own style so I wouldn't let the idea of your content being flooded out by other videos stop you. There are hundreds of cars brands out there that all share the same purpose yet they all have their own unique features and aesthetics. As long as what you do is not a carbon copy of something or someone else, it's not a problem.

Everything on YouTube has viewers, theirs people out there who love walkthoughs / tutorials so people will watch them

Make it, Make it good, the viewers will grow, just dont think millions are going to come over night on the first video

As for would I want to watch your next video on YouTube, I have no idea, I dont know what its going to be, what its going to be about, or anything, so I cant Answer that.

To be realistic instead of just simply believing "if you take time and effort you'll make it" comments, if you want to grow on YouTube tutorial videos shouldn't be your option. If it was a series of tutorial vids for a certain topic ( such as Ziovo's channel in which he makes videos on How to Grow On Youtube ) then yes it could work, but random tutorial vids wouldn't. Sure they might get views because if people need to know how to do something they'd watch your video, but they just simply needed to find out how to do that thing so why should they subscribe? They're not going to just keep watching each vid you post for a tutorial completely useless to them. Say you wanted to know how to jailbreak your iphone, so you watch a random "jailbreaking your iphone" youtube video. You usually don't then check out that guys channel, in fact you probably didn't even bother looking at who posted the video, since your only concern was learning how to do what you searched. Sure it might get views but will likely not retain subs.

EDIT: This is on the pretense of simple tutorial vids, not gameplay walkthroughs as I realize you might have meant. If this is the case then go for it

That's actually really true. I'm sorta stuck now after seeing what you've written. I can't really do gaming walkthroughs considering I've only got a laptop which can't run new games. So any recommendations?

I can't think of any off the top off my head ( im pretty bad at brainstorming ), but if you were to do a tutorial series ( for casual games or anything else ) it would have to be for something people are hugely interested in, which can change a lot. One clear option would just be some Pokemon GO footage since that's trending right now and all it requires is a video camera, but not sure how far you'd get with it. a youtuber MasterOv gained tons of popularity fast because he was one of the first to make agar.io videos and stuck on that bandwagon, then when everybody switched to slither.io he completely switched to that, then diep.io, then Pokemon GO, helping him stay relevant with what everyone's playing

There are videos in the realm of "tutorial" that work because they are overtly humorous or straight satire. Being a bit liberal with my use of "tutorial", see Casually Explained, Three Minute Philosophy, and How To Basic. Also check out "The History of Japan" video.

That's just if you want to be funny though. If not, I'm not the right person to ask.
