Working on a Budget.

Huh Waffles?
I posted this in another topic category it works in both.. I think?

So I am really just starting, I have a few "trial" videos I have made using my archaic equipment. just finding out ways that I will be able to shoot and supply my vids with both audio and video is pretty difficult, ha. So I have my iPhone 4s, no audio recording equipment except my phone and a standard free voice recorder on my 6 year old laptop.

I use VLC converter to convert my videos and audio clips to a format that I can use in Windows Movie Maker (the only free one that actually works well?) It isn't exactly too time consuming (yet) but I haven't really started to try and make real videos except for the one I just posted tonight (What it't Like To Work Retail) Sooo....

Do any of you guys have any advice on where/what I can find cheap? What I can use to help track audio better as using the iPhone and converting the files often leads to the audio being off track, and then I have to separate and re-lay down the audio.

Anything would be nice. And honestly I am still just learning how to do all this video editing stuffs.

Thank You in advance. :D

Here's what you do, just start making videos. =D

If you don't like your final product, then think of how to improve it.

This could be through equipment (bad audio = new microphone, bad video = new camera, a cheap pc webcam and microphone should suffice), software (if you're in this for the long run I suggest you invest in programs such as Premiere or Vegas), or just improving your content.

Good luck, and I wish you the best!

Thank you, I guess I keep forgetting that I'm just starting and I really don't have much to look back at as my content. Its just a waiting game and no one wants to wait!!

Totally understand! Just get your content out there, then you'll have the chance to reflect and improve!

@atfilmsstudio is the king of budget filmmaking. We've been working for a couple years to get the best results from a phone =)

Maybe he will have some tips for you on how to kick butt with less.
