Windows 7 on a Mac problem.

I am currently using a Intel Mac 2011. I want to be able to play games on Windows 7 so that i can connect to my friends online and thus making videos more entertaining and possibly more opportunities for videos.

One problem i have got is that i cannot seem to get Windows to install. I am using an iso image with bootcamp assistant. I have downloaded the support software from bootcamp and i have managed to get through bootcamp to after it partitions my disk.

After this, my Mac restarts and there is no installation. When i go onto bootcamp, it only gives me the options to start again. There is only my Mac HD when i hold the options key at start up and the same when i click on my start up disk in system preferences.

If i go onto terminal and type in 'diskutil list' bootcamp is the 4th partition on disk 0 and there is a bootcamp icon on my desktop.

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks,

Jordan

Mac an Windows are different OS'[DOUBLEPOST=1403864293,1403864211][/DOUBLEPOST]Unfortunately the two companies Apple and Microsoft are competitors and Operating systems can't be installed on each others Hardware[DOUBLEPOST=1403864455][/DOUBLEPOST]And if you were to install an OS you should use a CD or DVD not an iso

1. Yes they are different OS, I think the OP knows that.
2. That is just plain wrong, you can install Windows on a Intel mac, but it's right you might have trouble installing MacOS on just any hardware (and also you're not suppose to, but it's called hackintosh when you do).
3. You could also use an USB it doesn't have to be an optical drive. I don't really know anything about bootcamp, and whether Windows in bootcamp should be installed on boot or if it's more of a virtual machine thing. But if it is a virtual machine you can easily use an ISO to install a OS.

To OP:

As I mentioned above I don't have any experience with bootcamp (or mac for that matter), so I'm afraid I can't help you, but I just had to set this right.

They can actually, long as the bootloader is unlocked you should have no problems.
