Will I Do Better With A Network? Which Ones Should I Consider?

Hi guys.

I've got a diet and health-themed youtube channel that got 275,500 views last month. This month I'm getting $10.40 in playback-based cpm, and $6.70 in impression-based cpm.

I'm wondering if I can do significantly better via one of the networks without losing my autonomy, having a long-term contract, or otherwise making my life more of a pain.

Should I query some of the networks and see what they offer me in terms of revenue share?

Are there any networks that focus on health/diet related channels? Many of them seem to focus on videogames.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

You are with AdSense now? If yes, I advice you to stay with it as CPM with any MCN will be almost the same (+-5%) by my experience. It depends only up to your content and your adience not your Network or AdSense.

PS: Great CPM bytheway.

Networks not help you for grow CPM or Audience.

they just share Free Music and some app.

IF you with AdSense it's great way, u not loss your revenue, you can subscription for Music & App like MCNs ;)

You'll "take-home" less with a network assuming the same views next month with a network. Why? A network will just take your adsense earning and split it leaving you less or the same as without a network. In exchange they "give" you royalty-free music library. Wow... Youtube already gives you and everyone a great audio library for free. Just keep doing what you're doing.

I'm with FullScreen and the music library is much more expansive than YTubes. My "representative" can't answer my questions any more than a regular user on Google Forums, but they do offer handy ways to offer merchandise and protect your content.
As far as earnings go, I certainly feel gouged after reading a few things, so you are pretty much on target if $$$ is what the OP is looking for.

So you get $17.10 for 275,500 views? I think it's super and weirdly low.

As far as I know most Youtubers make from $1 - $3 for 1000 views (on AdSens). So if it's true you should get at least $275.

Are you sure you have everything set properly? Monetization is turned on on every video?

may be just need verified badge by YouTube and you will get help protect your adsense & yt account. I see gaming channel without Network he got 1M subs & kinda hes AdSense is full protected (he linking to 8 channels :eeks: ) same as MCN/another companies :D

He is getting $17.10 CPM and not $17.10 net revenue from the video.
