Why won't it let me upload to youtube, with outside uploading programs?

So for 4 days now, I've tried uploading to YouTube with 2 different programs: 'Power Director 9', and 'Windows Live Movie Maker'. Each time, I can edit fine, but once I get to the producing stage, where I upload to YouTube (after it processes the video of course) it always says I have an incorrect username/password. I've checked my channel in the browser, to make sure I'm entering them in correctly, and I always am! I even tried typing it in, key for key, very slowly, same thing! I've even tried changing my password, and entering it in with the new one, and it still doesn't work! Is anyone else having this problem?

If anyone could shed some light on this, or tell me how to fix it, or both, it would be very much appreciated.
 
When it says to enter your username do you enter the channel name or your email? ( i think it should be email)

I don't use a browser, like uploading at the actual site, I normally use a program called Power Director 9.

I have to enter in my channel username, which is not any kind of email. I've tried using my email before, but it never works.
 
Ok, well that is the only thing I can think of ( like when I set up to upload with screenflow I had to use my email.but not all programs use that :/)
 
I tried with premiere pro and sony vegas to do this too and I had the same problem, so i just resulted in rendering the video then uploading like normal in the browser

Few things that impact this and i have tried doing this before(Failing just like you), possibly your firewall is simply blocking that part of the program and it gives you the incorrect username as a failsafe message. Also the program may be outdated so that the new Youtube protocols are no longer compatible with the program you are using. Best solution render mp4 carrier and upload through a browser.
 
Google plus us changing the way you log in. Cantasia did the same for me so I changed it to accommodate. Check how YouTube is wanting you to log in nowadays cause if your movie maker still has the old set up it will come up as wrong password.
