Why The Black Bars

Right for some reason when I import video into imovie on iPod there is a huge black bar round the video and it wasn't doing it when I first got it any help and it stays there wen uploaded to YouTube and the picture is very small.

What's are your project properties in iMovie?
What's the resolution of the video you have taken?

Looks like the project may be set to a higher res then the actual video, so you'll need to either stretch the video or adjust the project properties so its the same as the video.

Just a shot at the dark without any further info....
 
Where is the project settings on the IPod and i think it was shot at 480p or 360 because i was using Display Recorder.
