I've Got It
Hey,
So, I have a bit of a story. After looking at different topics around the forums a couple days ago, I learned about the Curse network. After spending an hour or two doing some research on them, I decided that I'd like to join them. Only one problem, I'm partnered with RPM.
I knew that I had signed my contract in either June or July of 2013, so I contacted their support to see if I was allowed to terminate my contract with them, and I wasn't. This would have been fine, except for the fact that they told me I signed my contract in 2014, which I knew wasn't right. After some investigation and looking around in my YouTube analytics, previous emails, and old support tickets, I found that indeed I signed my contract in 2013.
I talked some more with support, and finally got my account sent to a different department for termination review. Now, before I continue, lets step back in time a year. For those of you who are connected with Maker, do you remember when they offered some of us a 70/30 split in money made contract upgrade back in 2014? Well, I accepted that...have you made the connection?
You see, them offering the 70/30 contract UPGRADE was their way of tricking partners into a forced 2 more years of being connected to their pathetic selves. So, of course my termination was denied because I evidently signed a whole new agreement (don't remember if I signed anything or not), and now I'm stuck with them. So a word of advice: if you're thinking of joining RPM, DON'T. They suck and they will do everything in their power to keep you. Just find a different network. Do your research before signing anything.
I may have luck on my side, though. You see, I did not realize that accepting the 70/30 upgrade was agreeing to a whole new contract. I'm only 15, and since I didn't realize this, I didn't have my parents permission to sign or accept anything of that sort. So, since I didn't have permission, they cannot legally hold me (a minor) legally bound to any contract. I've again further contacted support with this, so wish me the best of luck.
Has Maker screwed you over? Please, let me know down below. I'd love to hear how else they are driving people away from their forsaken network.
