I Love YTtalk
Hi there, in case you can't tell by the all caps title, I'm a little p****d off... to say the least.![Mad  ](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/mad.png)
To cut a long story short - my image quality is terrible and I have no idea why.
To cut a short story long - I film in full 1080p HD and edit using Sony Movie Studio. Initially I was using a small Nikon Coolpix, so I could have understood if that was what was causing the problems. But I recently borrowed a relative's Canon EOS 60D (a f***ing good camera), again filmed in full 1080 HD and edited in Movie Studio. Yet my videos STILL look terrible and quite pixelated, especially on mobile devices. It's like watching CCTV footage (security cams for you Americans). It almost looks like it has been compressed to within an inch of its life. I can't for the life of me understand why this is happening, it was an amazing camera, and I render in "Highest quality". I have tried playing about with every setting there is on the editing software, but I still can't get that crisp professional look I see from most people on YouTube.
Please have a look at my two latest videos (Monsters University Review and Top 5 Movie Monsters) as these are the ones I filmed on the 60D. I even used studio lights to make sure it was well lit, but still nothing. I've seen much better quality videos from lesser equipment, and I just don't understand why no matter what I do it still looks like s**t.
Can someone please please help me? This is really stressing me out as I've looked through every online tutorial I can and still can't get the desired quality.
I'm pretty sure it's driving people away from my channel too. I get hardly any views as it is, but I can see on Analytics that several people watch for less than a minute before quitting, and I'm 99% sure image quality has at least something to do with it.
Apologies for the long post, but I'm really annoyed at this and at this point I'm thinking of quitting YT because it is just not worth the hassle. I love making the videos, but boy does it take time. And I really do put a lot of effort into my content, so I'd hate for something as simple as image quality to let me down.
Cheers, Lee
