Why Did You Start Making Youtube Videos?

Just wondering why other people started? Was it because of bordem or money, free time or something else?!
 
I started from a combination of boredom, to keep random moments in a video format, and to show games my friends wanted me to play or show to them.
 
I wanted a hobby, a hobby that I could be PROUD of. Once I started making videos though I realised it's much more than that. Youtube is a wonderful thing to be involved with in general, I'm sad I didn't start sooner.
 
I think it was for fun at first, I don't really remember why I started lol. Though after my first video review I felt like that's what I wanted to do on YouTube forever, and so I've continued XD

for me, it's a cool way to get feedback on your hard work. It used to be you'd have to enter no-frills film festivals, and you'd be lucky if they even LOOK at your stuff. Now, you can give yourself free promotion if you know how to advertise yourself, and in this day and age of Facebook and Twitter, advertising yourself isn't so hard.
 
I started because it is a great way to showcase my talent as a Hip Hop artist and it's cheaper than paying for studio time lol. Check out my videos on my channel!!
