Why can't I put in a HDMI cable in my Xbox 360?

So recently I brought a component video cable that I wanted to use to plug into my xbox 360. I need it for my capture card. I put the color cables in my capture card which is good but the other side is HDMI. So I look for the HDMI input in my Xbox and it is right underneath the A/V one. Now that is where the issue is. I can't plug in my HDMI cable at the same time as my A/V one. This is because my A/V cable has some plastic thing onth bottom of it which covers the HDMI cable. So now it is like capture card or Xbox. I think it is very unfair Microsoft designed it like that. What can I do about it?

You have to buy the compoent video cable separably.

The video cable I brought had a HDMI port ad I can't plug it into the Xbox.
