I tend to reply to comments myself, but I have my highly trained parrots record the videos in my voice, and then I get 13 squirrels and no more to edit the video, and then my magical guitar Josef uploads it for me.

You know channels like Barley Political , PewDiePie , SourceFed , Apple , Google , TheFineBros (etc.), who uploads their videos ? Staff ? Or them ?
It depends on who it is and what their business is like. Barely Political, Source Fed, Google and Apple are all ran as a business with employees under their belt. Each person has a designated position. The actors worry about acting, writers worry about writing, the editors edit and the YouTube manager takes care of uploading annotating, tagging and describing. It's ran just like any other business.
Then you have the self employed youtubers who do it themselves.
