I edit using Final Cut 7 and Sony Vegas Pro 12. I think I'm going to have to kill FC7 though. When rendering on SVP it's extremely fast due to my new PC and I can also use Dxtory/Fraps. If I stick to that I can capture, edit, and upload all in one.

If I want to edit using FC7 I have to capture gameplay with my Win7, convert that footage from avi to mpeg/mov and then transfer it to my Mac. It's a pain..I just need to know all the SVP shortcuts so I can edit as fast as I can like I do in FC7.

So basically who here edits on FC7..should I look in Premiere Pro or master SVP? Any tips?

Thanks

I've got FCP7 installed on my Mac as we use it at college but college have finally invested in Premiere Pro CS6.. so I'll probably delete it later.

Personally for editing gameplay you don't really need an all singing all dancing editing software but Premiere is the way to go as it's the industry standard for editing software.

Thanks..what makes Premiere the best though? Rendering times, shortcuts, simple UI?

I use FC7, Adobe Premiere as Well as Avid Media Composer. All of them get the job done and will do what you need. IN the end you just go with what you are comfortable with.

It's just good, It's like the upgraded version of FCP7. Using CUDA make rendering a lot after, it's pretty simple to learn and it's got a million features :')
