Which do you think is better for Collabing (Group or Duo)?

There has been a few cases where youtubers tend to go about the Mass Collaboration route where there's like 6-12 voices in one videos. Some cases we see youtubers collab with one other person and that's it. What do you guys find is the most healthy/beneficial number for all parties involved to get a decent 'gain'?

I find every things has pros and cons. Vanoss Gaming for example can pull it off, but if you Markiplier or Pewdiepie when they started out they never went above 2 (Now that they are bigger they tend to collab with more than three). Pewdiepie during his low subscriber count only collabed with Cryoatic, Markiplier only collabed with Yamimash. They branched off at the point when they got a bigger fan base.

For me I prefer to Collab with only one person as opposed to a whole group. When I watch youtube and for example I watch a collaboration between two people, and I like it. I tend to look up the other person in the video. However if for example there are more than 2 people in the video, I get too lazy to check all of them that I only check for the most 'funniest' guy in that video and then see who it was. So the point is, the larger the group, the stronger the possibility that someone would want to take advantage/over react/ to be the 'hightlight' of the video. Its just gonna be one or two guys shouting at the top of their lungs to make 'try-hard' jokes until they think they had already made an impact within their recording. I don't find that as natural or as fun.

I agree with you. When there are a lot of people collaborating on a video, it can lead to link fatigue, where you just run out of steam or interest before you get through all the partners. I think 1 other person you're collaborating with is best.
