Where to start?

I was wanting to do a black ops II tomahawk montage and make it look sexy (lol) where do I start?I have all of the gameplay I just need to piece it together, but I don't know what effects and such I should add? HELP!

I suggest watching other peoples montages, and tutorials etc. I don't do COD montages, but there are a billion out there, so it shouldn't be hard to find one that you like.
I use sony vegas to edit my videos, but im not sure if people use After Effects for montages and whatnot.
