I was wondering where i could get just a nice simple green screen that won't take up my whole wall. XD
Also do they come with there own little software or something, because i saw some on ebay from $20 - $30 that i was interested in, but im not sure if its just a cheap green screen without a software or it can easliy tear or something like that. I need buying site suggestions or someone to tell me its ok to get it from ebay!XD

Home Depot.

No, seriously. Get a board or something else lightweight that you can paint. And get some green paint. I've read that Behr "Gamma Sector Green" is the closest to the professional ones. Make sure it's flat paint, not gloss. Paint your board and your green screen is done.

Remember it's all in the lighting. Home Depot offers work lights that really throw off some good light. If the lighting's bad and you have shadows, when you go to key the footage out it looks awful.

You just need green paint.. or even blue you can buy the paint at Home Depot or Lowes.. You can also get a real screen off of Amazon.com... As has already been stated make sure you light it correctly proper lighting makes all the difference.

if you want something thats light and not going to take up your whole wall..just go to a fabric store and see if you can get some green fabric... and like everyone else has said the lighting is everything!

Film is not all about professional stuff but also a lot of testing and improvising. Cheap doesn't have to be bad. And wasted money doesn't have to be either. As long as you have fun and learn something from it.

When I would buy a green screen I would personally consider a portable one. you can pop it whenever and you can use it outside. (Outside the Lighting usually is outstanding)

I got a few large pieces of bright green fabric from a fabric store - it was pretty inexpensive too. I hung it from the beams in my ceiling. It worked well. I learned after the fact how important lighting is - as other people stated here.

There are some nice DIY tutorial on YouTube for building a green screen stand using some pvc piping. It actually pretty fun and inexpensive. I recommend it.
