When to collab with another channel?

Hi everyone!

For 2 years now I'm running a Dutch Airsoft channel and website. My aim with both platforms is to educate future/new players, show current players where and how we (my team) play and provide some entertainment.

I started doing this when airsoft was legalized in The Netherlands so I stepped in at the right time. Of all the other Dutch Airsoft channels and websites, I have one of the bigger ones, subscriber and google ranking wise.

When I followed the Youtube creator course I learned that collaborations where a good way to improve your channel. But when is it smart to collab?

Most other dutch airsoft channels I encounter have 250 to 60 subscribers. Where I have 2646. So it feels more like helping them out than helping each other out.

What are your thoughts on this subject? How do you decide when and with who you collab?

Well we collab with anyone. If we help them out great if they help us out great.. Either way in the long run we all help each other out. We just look at the channels and if they are of the same mind and spirit we are in no matter their views or subs.

I'll move this to the strategy forum for you. :)

Honestly I think you should collab when you and the other channel feels like it. Good luck :)

Thanks Crown! Spend a few minutes figuring out where to post but did it wrong in the end as well gehehe!

Thanks for tip as well.

Thanks for the post @JohnKenShow. I guess it could be different if you don't have a niche audience. Theres only about 4000 registered players in The Netherlands and of course a lot of people who are not registered yet that are part of my target audience. But its still kind of a niche sector.
