Apologies if this isn't the right place. I thought maybe it should be in Editing but it's more if a gossip thread than an editing problem thread.

Anywho i was making a new vid the other night and i think just about every technical issue i could have with my recording happened XD First my sound was crazily sped up, then i realised my webcam hadn't been filming the whole time, followed by my audio not being in sync with everything else. Basically what should have been a simple upload turned into a nightmare of lots of stressing and swearing at my computer.

Then to make matters even more fun i uploaded the wrong video initially, went to upload the right one only to find my save file had corrupted. Thankfully i had a backup but i just decided that vid was just a lost cause lol.

So i thought i'd create a thread to see what issues others have had with regards to the creation of their videos or funny stories from when something just wouldn't go right. I'm surely not the only one lol XD
 
Eek, sounds like an editors nightmare. There's every once in a while that things just seem to not work. But once you start learning your work flow it isn't as common for things to screw up unless it's something outside your power like corrupted footage =X. Good luck with your future edits!
 
I am pretty sure I clicked ctrl+alt+delete instead of just clicking import on Vegas Pro before.:))
 
Wasting time on trying different sets of options in Sony Vegas, to export small file. Terrible.
 
Not as crazy as your experience but yesterday I wanted to finish editing a video, about most of the editing was done just final touches. As I opened the file I noticed majority of the video was corrupted and I had to re-do all the editing!! That was my final straw with this software it was the third time it does this to me so now i have to re-learn a new software ahhh
 
Had my brand spankin new mac and wanted to do video that was basically an animated slide show with audio effects. My mac came with 8 megs of RAM, so I ordered a 16G set but it turned out to be bad memory and I had a deadline for a contest.
The entire video is a hair over a minute long, but took me over a week. I could not get the slide show program to export the audio and video on the same timeline (out of sync) and spent that week basically trying all sorts of different methods to do what I needed to get done, included plugging a mini plug cable from the computer's output to the computer's input to record audio from the Keynote slide show.
Did it with less than 24 hours, got 2nd place. Would have had first had the file exported properly.
After getting my memory replaced, she runs like a charm.
Lesson? If you buy a mac, upgrade the memory IMMEDIATELY. Curse you Apple for including inadequate memory in ALL your computers...

I've had WAAAAY too many issues with macs in the past lol XD I swear those computers hate me lol. Congrats on 2nd place though :)

Glad to see i'm not the only one having issues XD Always good to rant about these things with people that understand the true pain of it all lol XD
