When should I become a partner?

I've Got It
Hello everyone.

I am currently a small comedy review channel and i have only got 3 videos (as it takes me weeks to record, edit and shoot) and i was wondering if it was worthwhile to join a network now.
I get around 100-200 views a video so i was wondering if monetizing was even worth it at this stage.
Do the networks help you grow your channel?

Also if i were to join with a YT network, which one would be best for a channel that puts out videos once or twice a month with a lowish sub/view count.

Thanks guys!

If you feel that you would benefit from that network in specific then its worth joining. The ability to earn revenue at lower payment thresholds and tools/music for free is attractive to some channels, and they can make full use of it. If you feel you would not make use of what the network has to offer, it may be better to stay without a partnership.

IMO, if you are deciding to join a network, go for one with a NoLockIn contract, and thus if you change your mind, you can easily unlink.

Networks won't help you grow. That's all up to you.

They'll give you music, a better, more informative YouTube dashboard, a support community, and another layer of defense against copyright strikes or issues.

That said, a bulk of what they offer can already be had for free or close to it via YouTube's music or royalty free choices, using TubeBuddy or another free dashboard, and having this community here help, assist and guide you.

Unlike many others here, I would suggest finding and joining a network as soon as possible. Just make sure that it has a no-lock in gaurantee so you can leave anytime you want.

The major benefit of trying one early is that 10-30% of a few cents won't matter. If you wait until you're a decent size first, those few cents could easily become a decent amount of money.
