MegaBoringGuy
Biggest Painted On Muscles You've Ever Seen, Baby
This is the holy grail when it comes to YouTube branding and it is often done poorly. YouTube is all about marketing. It's as much of marketing your username as it is marketing the person behind it. For example, my name is Michael, but people aren't going to call me that on YouTube (unless it's in my username) - they'll call me MegaBoringGuy. It's a pretty basic name that flows and is rather easy to remember.
Is your username memorable? Would someone who is subbed to you know your username off the top of their head? The whole point is for brand awareness. Keep in mind, this is the *username* and not that stupid phantom name people try and pass off as their brand i.e. some gaming guy who calls himself Thunder, when his channel name is 402Thunder402.
Numbers in a channel name are 99% of the time code for "Here lies a 12 year old with boring content". The channels that are popular today are all brandable and original names - Jenna Marbles, Tobuscus, Nigahiga, PewDiePie, etc.
Something else to avoid are long redundant suffixes like "HD" or "TV". Having "The" is usually a bad idea too. I cringe on the inside thinking Shane Dawson's channel is ShaneDawsonTV, though to be fair, he was one of the earliest people to do that.
How to come up with a channel name: Jokes, rhymes, play on words, your own name, adjectives and your own interests/hobbies or video themes are the best ways to go. Mine seemed good to me because people would click on it to see how boring I am, when I'm actually not.
I think a lot of people fail to realize how important a username is for a channel - it's there for the whole channel's life and what people will know you as from then on. Don't rush to make a channel name, take your time and it'll be worth it.
