when do you know its time to become a YouTube partner?

Hi I was Wondering about activating my YouTube account for monetization but I don't have many subs or views on my channel and I'm afraid that the ads will scare away viewers (who wants to watch a YouTube video with ads if you don't even know if its good or not and instead use the time to look up better videos?) Plus I won't make much money. So you might be asking "why monetize your account with all these cons?" Well, there is a plus, when you become a partner you have access to all these new features (such as custom thumbnails) that will boost the professionalism of your videos. Does anyone know what I should do?

I say you should work on your videos a little bit more... practice, find people in your level (work together), make your channel look legit enough to get the sub (youtube background, good quality videos), work your way up!

Don't ever do monetization without a network, you risk losing your Adsense due to copyright strikes.
