Whats your guy's opinions on quick tutorials without voice over?

Whats your guy's opinions on quick tutorials without voice over? I've seen these before and never had a problem with them. Honestly i find myself recently muting tutorials when i watch them

I don't think people would have a problem with no voice over tutorials, in fact most voice tutorials rarely abbreviate what their trying to teach in their video its like listening a middle class teacher's lecture. Example: "Hello so umm today we're going to ummm find- I mean learn how to do this." Short/edited tutorials with subtitles would save a lot of time and I think the viewer would appreciate that.

Definitely if it's quick... the more elaborate the tutorial, the more it necessitates some explanation beyond just on-screen text. If it really is something simple, you should be able to do it without voiceover.

I find it more eficient to have a voice over in the tutorial , they usually tend to explain things better. Honestly I can't stand those tutorials where everyone is just typing in the notepad ( sometimes you can even hear their mic working but they just refuse to speak lol )

and they either played Bring Me To Life by Evanescence or Dreamscape (Remastered) by 009 Sound System, if we're lucky we can hear them typing haha! Ahhh those were the days ... :p

Honestly, I don't care one way or the other. I think they can be really nice when done well. Even better, they are accessible to people who are hearing impaired (since most YouTube videos don't have good captions).

I think if you are a good speaker then voice is always better. Text can be decent if the person can edit properly. For me it is off putting to see a notepad open up with the person typing and backspacing if it is an in depth tutorial but i guess you said quick tutorials so in that case it can work.
