What would happen!?!?

I'm going to do a Top 10 Minecraft Songs video, but I'm going to ask for permission before using other people's videos. What happens if the video gets a lot of views and then somebody takes it down and gives me a strike? They see I'm getting good views so they give me a strike even though they gave me permission? Is it possible for me to get the video back up if I have proof they gave me permission? Thanks.

Surely as long as you have written permission (E-mail etc) then it wouldn't be a problem as you have proof of permission. You should also credit the original user in the description and video. Therefore any view that you would be creating would also be granting them views if people were to click a link or whatever. So in reality it's a win win situation and really shouldn't be a problem.

But what if the original creator decides to take the video down? Could I get it back up and get the strike removed because I have proof of permission?

Yeah I'm not quite sure about the legalities of YouTube. But what I'm saying is that they would have no point in taking it down if you were drawing them in views. Plus if they take their own video down then wouldn't it be 'original' content.... Just on your channel? Haha

Permission or a license is key. Otherwise don't do it.
Do read a bit about my thread on copyright:

Honestly they won't take it down if you can dispute successfully.
There's also something fair use. If you are reviewing it and putting your own commentary about the music, then it should be fine.
Just like movies are reviewed etc.
Putting it back to back and stringing it is a no no.
