Check out lightworks, it's free, relatively easy to become somewhat capable in, and has a pretty amazing forum on the official page filled with helpful people. If you ever have a problem, the guys over there can solve it usually within a couple of hours.

The Adobe Creative Suite is great if you can afford it (though that's admittedly a bit overpriced), but Resolve is a fantastic free option. It's a little strange to learn but once you do there are even the free coloring features which is a big plus imo.
