What to do when a website is spamming your videos?

Jungle Explorer

I Love YTtalk
There is a website called woodprix that is spamming my videos with comments linking to their website. I have deleted dozens of these spam comments and they keep coming back under different names. What can I do?

Click the menu icon to the right of the comment to manage comments:

Hide user from channel: Block the user from posting comments on videos on your channel.

Done that. I've reported users, block users, hid users. It does no good because they always use a different user account to post their spam on my videos. This is a concerted effort by a website to spam videos. I know I am not the only one. If they are doing it to me, they are doing it other users. They only spam my carpentry How To videos. Surely youtube has a way to allow us to report that website that is intentionally spamming user videos. This has been going on for months now.

These user accounts that are doing the spamming (possibly robots) are doing it for this WoodPrix website trying to get people to go to their website and by their products. There had to be a way to warn this website owner that if they do not stop spamming youtube user videos, they will face legal action, or something like that.

Go to your "Community" tab and go to "community settings." There is an option called "blocked words." Here's YouTube's description: "Comments closely matching these words will be held for review. Live chats matching these words will be blocked."

So go there and you can block specific words that the spammers are using. Be sure to hit the save button though, or else your changes won't be saved.

I just wish that I could block certain words only on certain videos.

Thanks. I agree. It seems that youtube has software that can detect a copywrighted song or content in a video, but can't detect vulgarity or sexual content. That seems odd to me.
