What the freak Youtube? Fair Dispute Won, Right Away A New Dispute Added By A Different Company?!?!

I have a kids recital video up, that uses the song "Happy" Here is the claim:

"Pharrell Williams-Happy (from Despicable Me 2)", sound recording administered by:0:03
AdRev for a 3rd Party

Disputed it and won (I said the song was in the background, there was cheering and song couldn't be copied anyway)

Right after it was won I got another claim on the same video:

"ファレル・ウィリアムス-「ハッピー」日本版MV", sound recording administered by:0:07
Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc.

The song does not change at 0:07, it is the same song "Happy" all the way through. How can Sony put this claim in? This is ridiculous!

This does sound pretty stupid to be honest :L
I'd say make another dispute and next time if you do upload something with copyrighted music don't monetise it, because that's what has got you into this mess :)

Thanks for the response. Not sure what you mean, I just checked my settings, my videos are not monetised. I did put in a second dispute, fingers crossed :)
I guess I will have to find someplace else to post them. My aunt, who uses a tablet, says they are blocked on that platform.

Whether it is in the background or not it is still copyright...

Two companies can not make a claim at once meaning the other was likely just on the side while the adrev one was active.

It doesn't matter if she's monetising it or not, the content ID system will still pick up on the music.

The only thing you can do to avoid it is remove the audio where the music occurs and re-upload it or not upload it at all. It has copyrighted music in it, so there's a chance you might be disputing a lot of claims even after these 2.

Or just accept the claim she doesn't have to remove it.

I assumed that wasn't a viable option for her as she was trying to dispute the claims. Not to mention you need to verify if the claims are valid to avoid letting fake 3rd party companies make money off the video.

Well fake third party companies already claim large swaths of videos, especially with us :L
even though the channel we get it from (monstercat) allows us to use their stuff aslong as we credit them.

Then you're best off getting written permission from monstercat or even letting them know, they might not be aware some one is trying to sneak money off their copyrighted material.
