What software is this?

I don't caaaaaaare!
Hey!

So recently I've been getting into Emma Blackery, Dan Howell & AmazingPhil's videos and I noticed that they often all use a similar game-like editing scheme(can I use that word?). The text & the spacey background UNLESS that can be done with any software.

Does anybody know which software this is?

Here's an example of what I'm talking about.

I think you could do it with any software. You would need to get a space like font and a photo of space and your good to go. "dafont" is a good website for free fonts, I'm pretty sure they have something similar.

All you do is get an 8-bit font and use it to write the text, then put it on a black screen or whatever in your videos :)

Ahhh thank you so much! :p I always thought it was a software thing. Also, now how does she achive this editing thingy?(I need to use my words! Haha) At the start of the video?

What you do is make the video of the flashing text, making sure it has a transparent background, then make a video clip of the background, then in the main video just overlay the text over the background :)

The background image has been made bigger than the screen so you can then move it around to get that effects. You could do that in most video editors. What software do you use? I just checked out your videos your not a noob :)

You could create that intro on most basic softwares TBH, just keyframe the background image to move a little then photoshop some text but make sure it has a transparent background then just cut small parts of it out of the video so that it has gaps where the text isn't there and it will flash when you play it. Very Basic.

 Sure. Not complicated at all. *Note to self: Learn photoshop stuff* Thanks guys! Haha :) I really thought it had to do with software!

All you need to do is make sure when you create a image on photoshop to make the background "Transparent" (youtube it if you can't work it out, youtube is great for photoshop tutorials). Then just use the text tool with a nice font from a website like "Dafont" (google it) and you should be good to go.

You can always google or youtube how to make the text look the style you want (E.G. google retro text, smart text, funky text, old school text, etc.)

You'll get there in no time :p
