What should I film with my little brother?

Hi friends! I'm 19 and I run a primarily beauty and DIY focused YouTube channel. Very stereotypically girly. My little brother, who is 11, wants to start making gaming videos and asked me to help him. Obviously they're not exactly the same, but I can definitely give him a primer on the basics of filming, editing, uploading, and promoting videos. I think the best way to do that would be to have him sit down and work on a video with me from beginning to end, including set up, filming, editing, and uploading.
So, here's my question.. what could we film that fits my brand but also interests an 11 year old boy? He let me film a time lapse of me doing his Halloween makeup (I transformed him into The Joker) but even that was a stretch. He barely wanted to sit through the makeup application, let alone filming setup. I was thinking crafts or other transformations, but that's very general and not useful.
Any suggestions would be awesome!

What I'd do personally is talk to him and find out what he wants to make and then with your experience you can help direct it into something doable. If he has no idea you could give some broad suggestions such as, Vlog, tutorial and so on. The main point of getting him to think of the idea and feel like it's his idea is because he'll then feel much more invested and therefore will be more focused when filming and making it. Hope this helps :)

He's not particularly forthcoming with ideas, so it kind of falls on me to make suggestions and try to get him to agree on something. I think trying to get his opinion will definitely work best though. If I can present him with a list of possible ideas and have him pick one, I think that would be the best case scenario.

Sounds good. In that case I'd recommend making something simple so that he can do most of the work. As for ideas I'll throw some out to try help you out.

Introduction Vlog - Him saying hello and who he is and so on.
Tutorial - Him talking about how to do something he likes.
He does something to you - So like, he could do your make up or something. Just something silly and fun.
You do something to him - So you do his hair or make up or something but like you said he isn't receptive to that.
Question video - Find a bunch of questions online and ask him them.

Hope it goes well :)

If your brother is interested in Gaming channel, then let him start that channel. Whichever games he is interested, he should play, record, make commentary and upload on YouTube. If you both want to do something together, then I would say share your ideas and interests with your brother, something is definitely going to work out, it can be regarding movies, comics, anime, tv show etc.

I really like him doing crafts idea. That would be really fun I think. Also if you want to help his channel maybe make a video for your channel where he does your makeup as a way to promote his channel? That is really cool that your going to help him learn everything though. Fun sibling bonding!

Have him troll people on Call of Duty while you put random makeup on him. It would be a split screen of what he's seeing and the other side would be his face being made up by you. You could also wax his hair each time he dies or something to make it funny...
