What should I do (if anything at all) at 1,000 subs?

I know that's not a huge milestone but it will be for me. I'm sitting at 877 subs and slowing gaining. It's taken me 2 years to get where I am so 1,000 is pretty huge for me.

My question is should I do anything to celebrate when I hit 1,000 subs? Or is it not really a high enough amount to do anything? I'm never personally in my videos (just my hands) and I never say anything either in my videos so I don't really know what I should do. I'm thinking I'll just let 1,000 subs come and go. What do you guys think? I'd love to hear your input!

Man i think a thank you video would be cool So all your subscribers know what they mean to you!
For me 1k is a milestone where you definitely can upload something like this^^
I even uploaded one for 100 Subs
Just a tip, since you've played piano in front of a camera, plan some time in for that video... maybe you'll feel a bit awkward to speak to the lens you know!

I think related to the kind of videos you make and the audience that watches, I wouldn't do much special. I would either make a short "thank you video" where you thank your audience and explain that it's hard work for you and that you appreciate their support, or I would make some kind of Q&A video where you answer questions of your audience. In your videos prior to the 1000 subs you can refer to the Q&A that is coming so your audience will be 1) aware of it and come up with questions and 2) it might help you to reach the 1000 subs sooner.

Thanks, I've thought about a Q&A before, just didn't think 1,000 would be big enough to do one.

A couple YouTubers I follow have hit 1,000, and they did videos on it. I think 1,000 counts is a huge milestone! If you search in YouTube for 1,000 subscribers, you'll get lots of ideas of how people have celebrated. I do agree with Lennart Guitar, though, that you have to be true to your channel!

If I ever hit 1000 subs I will probably use my GoPro to do a timelapse video of a piece of dog poop in my back yard.
