What should I do for a channel trailer?

I have just enabled a custom layout for my channel, but I have no idea how to fill the channel trailer section. Should I put my newest video there? Should I create a new video talking about my channel? If so, what would I need to say? Do you guys have any tips for the best way to fill this spot? My main priority right now is sorting out my branding ect.

I approached mine as though it was a short introduction video, I used clips from my old videos and put a voiceover on top talking about who I am and what I create. A lot of people put up their newest video instead, I think it's just personal preference.

Thanks for the advice, I ended up creating a short video combining a few clips from my videos and gave some information about the channel for example what it's about, who it's for and when I'll be uploading.
